Hayman was tasked with a large-scale mechanical upgrade at New Cross Hospital, enhancing energy efficiency and system performance across the site. The project included the replacement of over 300 pumps with inverter-driven Armstrong type pumps, integrating PIC valves to transition from constant to variable volume operation, significantly improving energy efficiency. Additionally, our team replaced more than 250 three-port valves with two-port alternatives, installed new ductwork and a cooling ventilation system, and fitted an 800kW Plate Heat Exchanger Skid Pack using 316 stainless steel pipework. To enhance energy monitoring and efficiency, we also installed new heat meters throughout the hospital. This comprehensive upgrade modernized the hospital’s infrastructure, reducing energy consumption while ensuring long-term operational reliability.

Hayman was appointed to upgrade the air conditioning system at Wynsors World of Shoes in Swinton, carrying out a full retrofit in a live retail environment. With the store remaining open to the public throughout the project, our team implemented strict safety measures, including controlled work zones, out-of-hours tasks, and minimal disruption installation techniques. The upgrade involved the removal of outdated units and the installation of new Daikin air conditioning systems, complete with bracketry, refrigerant pipework, condensate drainage, electrical supplies, and control wiring. Once installed, the system was fully tested and commissioned to ensure optimal efficiency and performance. The project was completed with a 7-year warranty, providing long-term reliability while enhancing in-store comfort for both customers and staff.

Hayman successfully completed a full boiler house upgrade at St Cuthbert's High School, delivering a modern, energy-efficient heating system within the tight deadline of the summer holidays. The project, specified by a consultant, included the installation of gas boilers on a cascade system, four air source heat pumps, two electric boilers, and a full new control panel. Additionally, our team installed two 2,000-litre cylinders and carried out extensive pipework modifications to integrate the new system seamlessly. By working efficiently within the restricted timeframe, Hayman ensured that the school's heating infrastructure was fully operational in time for the new academic year, providing a reliable and sustainable solution for the client.

When the booster pump set at Rugeley Leisure Centre failed, Hayman responded swiftly to restore operations.
